AASL Bar Tour & End of Season Party

The Important Stuff

• Date: Saturday, March 13

• Cost: $10 (includes T-shirt and 4 Kegs at conclusion)

It happens every year. You didn't put in the requisite amount of training, and when St. Patrick's Day rolls around, you're not prepared. You planned to party all day long, but you conk out sometime in the afternoon because you don't have the stamina. Don't let it happen this year.

Schedule (check-in available at Mister Days until 4:30 PM)

Bar Specials:

• $2 Miller Lite Bottles or Drafts – can drafts be green?
• $4 Jameson Shots (maybe use smaller shot glasses)
• $8 Car Bombs (using Bailey’s & Jameson)
• $4 Absolute Shamrock (Absolute cocktail made green)

T-shirts will be made for the first 150 participants and prizes available for those who brave the tour. If we run out of t-shirts, we'll collect a $7 donation for our AASL Charity - Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

End of Season Party

• Where: SoBe Bar & Bistro (3100 Clarendon Blvd)
• Cost: $7 donation for Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
• Why: 4 Kegs available when the first Bar Tour Patron arrives

Frequently Asked Questions

• Do people need to join the bar tour before attending the End of Season Party? No.
• Can I invite my friends who are not AASL or CHASE players? Always.
• What do I win if I visit all the bars? Raffle prizes including Great Urban Race Tickets.
• Do I need to wear a St. Practice Day t-shirt? No, you will also have a wrist band. But the t-shirt is much cooler.
• Do I have to stick with the group? No, the recommended schedule allows us to move together as a group but you do not need to stay with the main group.
• Why is there a $7 donation/cover charge? $4 goes towards charity and $3 helps cover the cost of the kegs we purchased.
• When is the trophy being awarded? 8PM at SoBe.
• Where is Sobe? Around the corner from Mister Days. Look for a courtyard entrance.

The 5th Annual Dodging Diabetes™ Charity Dodgeball Tournament will be on SATURDAY, MARCH 20 at 9:30 am at Champions Fieldhouse in Rockville, Maryland. Be there!

For our fifth anniversary, we’re setting a goal of raising $10,000 for the Joslin Diabetes Center to bring our 5 year total to over to $50,000.

The first 35 people to RSVP will receive a pair of tickets to the March 24 screening of HOT TUB TIME MACHINE at Georgetown AMC. Simply RSVP to this Meetup Invite and we'll send you tickets (PDF) by March 21 so that you can print out. Although each ticket has its own unique barcode we still recommend that you arrive early (at least 30 minutes) to ensure a seat because promoters typically overbook these screenings.

Synopsis:

HOT TUB TIME MACHINE follows a group of best friends who’ve become bored with their adult lives: Adam (John Cusack) has been dumped by his girlfriend; Lou (Rob Corddry) is a party guy who can’t find the party; Nick’s (Craig Robinson) wife controls his every move; and video game-obsessed Jacob (Clark Duke) won’t leave his basement. After a crazy night of drinking in a ski resort hot tub, the men wake up, heads pounding, in the year 1986. This is their chance to kick some past and change their futures – one will find a new love life, one will learn to stand up for himself with the ladies, one will find his mojo, and one will make sure he still exists!

Ride the Boomerang Party Bus and let them take us to a fabulous roller rink for the area's only adult skate BYOB party! The roller rink is outfitted with lights, disco balls, and super fun music from the 80's, 90's, and today, so get ready for dancing, skating, mingling, and all night fun!

Here's the plan: Everybody dresses up (70's/80's attire). We party on the bus, party at the BYOB Roller Rink, and keep partying on the way home. The league brings a few kegs and gives out prizes for the best costumes.

How do you sign up?:

1. Sign up for the Boomerang Roller Rink Bonanza! on March 26
2. Use "1218CSPW10" to get 20% off the Boomerang Bus ticket.
3. The Boomerange Bus will collect $25 on the bus for the rink
4. The total amount is $45 but the League will provide beer from its own stash

CHASE Sports Group is proud to host the DC Regional Flip Cup Tournament Qualifier for the World Series of Flip Cup. The Regional Tournament is Saturday, March 27, from 1pm to 6pm at McFadden's (2401 Pennsylvania Ave NW). Teams of 6 (with 2 alternates) will compete in Best of 7 Matches with a 5 Game Guarantee.
