Join us for a pick-up broomball game at Kettler Iceplex this Sunday, Sept. 13, at 7:00 PM. Kettler Iceplex is located on the 8th floor of the Ballston Common Mall (2 blocks from the Balston Metro Station). It's only $10 for ice time. The equipment is provided by the ice rink but we recommend elbow and knee padds if you have them. Maybe a bicycle/skateboard helmet for comfort.
October 14 - DC Broomball Kicks-Off Inaugural Season What is Broomball? Broomball is a more competitive team sport that is played on ice. Players wear shoes rather than skates, and use a "broom" (a stick shaped like a broom) to move the ball around the ice. Rules and strategies are similar to those of ice hockey. Broomball does not require expensive equipment or special skills - just an open mind and a positive attitude! The inaugural season begins this October with a 7-week season, full-ice, and referees. Games are played at the Tucker Road Ice Rink in Ft. Washington, MD. Register today on-line for more schoolyard action. There are also social pick-up games every weekend at Kettler Iceplex in Ballston, VA. Check out the DC Broomball Facebook page for more information.
