![]() Tradition As the world comes together in Vancover, Canada, to celebrate the Winter Olympics ... we figured, why not celebrate with beer? Getting together for a pint of beer has been a long, rich tradition in nearly every country in the world. From ancient taverns to suburban basements, societies devised “beer games” and other activities to increase fun and social interactions - often through the additional consumption of frosty beverages. Of course, nothing is more important than the simple act of enjoying good times with good friends. The 8 competitive events at the CHASE Winter Olympics were carefully researched and chosen, in part, because of their ubiquity around the world. Each of these games have well known and generally recognized rules, can be accurately measured, and can establish a clear winner.
$100 of each team registration goes to benefit the Avon Walk for Beast Cancer via Team FWIK. Here' their story: We all know fabulous women. They are the strength that keeps us together. They give us shoulders to cry on. They make us laugh so hard it hurts. They give us a sense of peace when a crisis occurs. They never ask why, they simply do what is needed. And they love us. Yet, the odds are that at least one of these fabulous women will struggle with breast cancer at some point in her life. We all know that there's strength in numbers, so we've banded together to show the world just how important it is to put an end to the suffering caused by breast cancer. We've made a big commitment. To participate in the Avon Walk, we're going to spend months training to prepare for an entire weekend's walk. Each one of us has to raise at least $1,800 in donations although most are raising much more. But we're in this together, and we know that, with your help, we can do it. Please support our team and help all the fabulous women you know.
